We are looking to appoint a Senior Site Supervisor at our St George’s Academy in Blackpool. The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting the management of the estate and ensuring compliance within this popular and over-subscribed academy. This role requires someone who is proactive, willing to be hands-on with day-to-day activities, and detail-oriented.
Working closely with the School Administration Manager and the Trust Business Leader, the post holder will interface with other colleagues within the Academy and the wider Trust. The Senior Site Supervisor will contribute to the overall estates strategic aims, including Health & Safety (including estates-related safeguarding matters), compliance, grounds, asbestos management, contractors, and procurement of other managed contracts within the Academy.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible with their daily hours of work, which will include some evening and occasional weekend work. You will need to demonstrate a strong facilities management background and a sound understanding of estates and health and safety-related compliance. Stakeholder engagement is an essential part of this role; you will need to have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and be willing to invest in the development of our premises team, challenging and supporting them to provide the best possible learning environment for every child in the Academy.
The successful post holder will be expected to establish and review systems and working practices to ensure compliance with all relevant statutory regulations, recognized standards, and Trust-led processes and policies. They will be expected to manage third-party contractors, ensuring they remain compliant and deliver to expected performance standards. They will support major projects, provide extensive administrative support, and be able to manage a varied and demanding workload.
As a growing Trust, there may be opportunities for future development of the role as part of the Cidari MAT Estates and Compliance team.
If you wish to arrange a visit to the school, please contact Kirsty Wilkinson with options of your availability. We recommend early application as the Trust reserves the right to close the advert prior to the stated deadline date.
Applications will only be accepted on a fully completed application form with an accompanying supporting letter. CVs will not be accepted.
