We have excellent opportunities in the Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children Team and Leaving Care teams within Warwickshire for a Full time Career and Guidance Advisor. The team is well established with very experienced and supportive staff.
As a Careers and Guidance Advisor you will be supporting young people aged 18 to 25 who are now care leavers and will be working directly with them and their personal advisors to ensure they have all the opportunities in relation to Education, Employment and Training.
We are trying to give these care leavers the opportunities that they deserve, you will have to be an organised person, who is able to think out of the box. We want someone who is able to engage with all of our young people and empower them to achieve the best that they can.
Responsibilities
* Supporting with CV writing
* Leading Education / Employment Drop in’s weekly, all over the county
* Engaging with external agencies to see what they might be able to offer our YP
* Meeting with Shaw Trust to ensure that the transition for 17 year olds coming to our team is a smooth process
* Being responsible for case recording all of your interactions with young people.
* The role entails travelling both within Warwickshire and out of county; therefore, regular access to a vehicle will be required.
