A well-established primary school in Ipswich, rated GOOD by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist to join their staff from December 2024. Key Responsibilities:
* Be the first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors, managing calls, emails, and face-to-face inquiries.
* Maintain an organised and welcoming front office environment.
* Assist with student registration, attendance, and general administrative tasks.
* Manage school communications and update records using the Arbor system.
* Provide support with pupil admissions, handling sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
* Coordinate appointments, meetings, and school events as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a school setting or similar busy environment is highly desirable.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Proficient in using IT systems, with experience in Arbor or similar school management software preferred.
* A friendly, professional, and approachable manner, with excellent customer service skills.
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures in an educational environment (training will be provided if necessary).
* A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience working as a receptionist or in an administrative role, ideally in a school or educational setting.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Experience using Arbor or a similar school management information system is highly desirable.
