Project Planner Required London or Kent based £80,000 – £120,000 My client are now looking to hire a senior planner due to an increase in workload. Role The main role of the Project Planner is to be responsible for developing and maintaining the project’s programme schedules at both Tender and Construction phases. You will need to be able to resource and cost profile the planned works and monitor progress regularly. Furthermore, you will need to be able to carry out a critical path analysis as well as identifying potential risks, assessing their impact, and generating regular updates to assist the project team. Key Taks / Responsibilities Produce high quality Gant Charts for both tenders and live projects, including pre-construction and construction phases whilst working closely with the Precontracts and Project teams. Monitor and control project effectiveness, key outputs trackers and advise of any deviation. Assist project teams in delivering projects on time and on the most efficient manners. Prepare short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from all key players and team members. Identify changes in work scope in the project plan and produce impacted programmes. Develop claims for Extension of Time and narratives to support programmes. Ensure to convey required project data and information to project teams with full understanding from all parties. Prepare and present regular internal and external project reports / dashboards for management. Gather actual data, update project schedule, and develop reliable schedule forecast with support from project team. Specific Responsibilities Review of tender Information and produce the most economical programme of works represented as Gant charts along with sketches to demonstrate the desired sequence of works. Supporting Tender submission documents including resource histograms, cost allocations and narratives if required for formal submission. Liaise with the Client Team to discuss proposed sequence of works along with client constraints and possible resequencing to meet the client’s aspirations. Formal submissions of Contract programmes/schedules for Client agreement. Regular monitoring and progress updates of ‘LIVE’ contract programmes with in-depth discussions with the project team to ensure any variations are included along with any possible mitigation measures which need to be proposed. Provide supporting documents in terms of resource extracts, short term programme and jagged line progress monitoring tools to assist in reporting and discussions with key subcontractors. Analysis of variations and produce impact programmes to demonstrate the changes. Present and discuss impact programmes for agreement with the client. Support management and project teams where required
