Job description
Benefits Realisation is the definition, planning, implementation and monitoring of the benefits of changes and improvements in an organisation.
We are looking for our next leader to manage a small, close-knit team within the Change, Governance and Assurance unit. With responsibility for monitoring benefits for all projects and programmes across the DVLA, you and your team will be in regular communication with stakeholders, promoting the Benefits Realisation process, supporting change initiatives and ensuring the process is adhered to consistently at all levels within the agency. You will be involved in the whole process, supporting the identification of impacts at each stage, throughout delivery and beyond.
You will ensure that planning and re-forecasting arrangements are in place, track, monitor and create evidence-based reports for benefits reporting across the agency and externally.
You and your team will have an overarching view across the entire agency, enabling you to understand how individuals and teams contribute to wider strategies. This role provides excellent visibility and the chance to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels. There are plenty of opportunities to work collaboratively and autonomously in this fast-paced role and every day will bring a new challenge.
Responsibilities��
Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:�
1. To raise and strengthen capability and performance of benefits realisation management within the Agency, providing a comprehensive support and advice service to business areas, customers and stakeholders.
2. Lead and manage the continuous improvement of team processes to meet changing standards and audit requirements and ensure the delivery of maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Manage query resolutions and escalation processes, providing advice and interpretation where needed.
4. Act as Subject Matter Expert for team activities and the relevant standards, legislation and best practice.

You are a strong, motivational and supportive leader with proven experience of managing a team.
You have excellent interpersonal skills and can build professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
You are a fantastic communicator, persuasive, diplomatic and able to remain resilient when challenged. You give and accept constructive feedback and see it as an opportunity to take positive steps forward.
You are experienced in using your analytical skills to spot trends, patterns and inconsistencies in data, drawing on these to create evidence-based reports. You must be comfortable using Excel to export information into reports. You are comfortable presenting your reports to an audience and can summarise effectively and concisely.
Due to the evolving nature of the business, vacancies can become available at any time. Therefore, this campaign may create a reserve list to fulfil demand if it arises which will be held for a period of 12 months.�
