We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Charnwood and Melton Mowbray reablement team
About the Role
We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Occupational Therapists to join our OT service undertaking assessments for both children and adults. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Occupational Therapy, possess advanced clinical skills, and demonstrate a strong commitment to professional development. They will exhibit role model behaviours showing professionalism, empathy and a person-centred approach. They will be able to support and mentor colleagues and students, with a strong motivation and willingness to contribute to a positive team culture.

About You
To apply for this post, you must:
6. Hold a degree/diploma in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
7. Have expert knowledge of occupational therapy methodologies, social care policies such as reablement and asset based social care, and relevant legislation including The Care Act, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Children’s Act and Disabled Facilities Grant.
8. Be skilled in assessment, risk management and developing and implementing advanced therapeutic interventions to meet the complex needs of customers.
9. Experience of providing supervision, support and mentoring to colleagues and students.
10. Experience of working in partnership with other relevant professionals in health, social care, education and other partner agencies to inform analysis and reasoning for support planning.
11. Be a confident communicator, with excellent skills of diplomacy and persuasion to navigate challenging situations. Being able to apply assertiveness and conflict management skills to resolve issues effectively and to build effective working relationships.
12. Work proactively as an advanced autonomous practitioner, with excellent prioritisation and time management skills.
We also expect you to share and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the interview process.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.
