As our Nights Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
- Managing all daily warehousing and home delivery activities
- Completing resource planning for all operational activities on a daily basis
- Producing weekly ‘working rotas’ to ensure sufficient resources are in place for the working week
- Managing operational costs through the efficient use and planning of people and vehicles
- Completing site task lists through line management of the supervisory and administrative teams
- Complying with current transport legislation and company standards
- Complying with all legislative and company Health & Safety requirements
- Completing reports in a timely and accurate manner
- The timely and accurate completion and investigation of the Tolerance Report
- Adhering to company security requirements including keyholder duties
- Deputising in the absence of the General Manager
You will have accountability for the site’s performance over a 7-day a week operation, including all aspects of warehousing and transport, ensuring that customer services levels are met or exceeded. Managing costs effectively, you will maximise profitability, manage resources and people effectively, whilst consistently analysing the current processes and procedures and pushing for continuous improvements.
The usual working pattern for this role is 40 hours a week over a 5 from 7 shift pattern on a rota, including weekends and bank holidays, so flexibility is a key requirement. Shift times: 21:00 - 06:00.
