You will play an essential role in the development and implementation of education to ensure evidence based quality care is delivered to our patients.
Main Duties of the Job
Nurse educators combine clinical expertise and a passion for teaching into rich and rewarding careers. They play a pivotal role in strengthening the nursing workforce, serving as role models and providing the leadership needed to implement evidence-based practice.
Nurse educators will be co-responsible with the Education Lead for designing, implementing, evaluating and revising clinical education. They are critical players in assuring quality educational experiences preparing the Nursing workforce for the diverse, ever-changing health care environment. They are responsible for the facilitation and delivery of mandatory and departmental nurse education and training within their designated area, working collaboratively with the 7 Senior Sisters, Quality Nurses and Matron.

Person Specification
* Registered Nurse
* Educated to diploma/degree level or an equivalent level of knowledge & skill
* Current Teaching and Assessing qualification.
* Improving Together training.
* SAFER principles Knowledge and understanding.
* Minimum of 1 year Gastro/Liver Experience at Band 6 level
* Previous training and development experience
* Experience of participating in process redesign
* Excellent interpersonal skills
