Phyllis Tuckwell provides palliative and end of life care for people living with an advanced or terminal illness. Based in Farnham, Camberley and Guildford, we serve a population of 550,000 across West Surrey and North East Hampshire.
Counsellor (working with adults, children & young people)
22.5 hours per week – Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
Salary: £21,470 per annum (WTE £35,783 based on 37.5 hours)
Phyllis Tuckwell is looking to appoint an experienced Counsellor to join our Patient and Family Support Team to work on both the Farnham and Guildford sites. The role provides emotional support to patients and carers, including children, under the care of the hospice.
The successful candidate will:
* Have a qualification in Counselling to at least diploma level 4
* Have further therapeutic training or qualification in working with children and young people (or working towards obtaining this)
* Have experience of working with both adults and children
* Have experience in end of life and grief issues
* Be able to work independently and as part of a busy team
* Work at both Farnham, Camberley and Guildford sites as well as visits in the community
