Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Job Duties:
1. Provide 1:1 support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in an educational setting
2. Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
3. Support students in developing social skills and managing behaviour
4. Work closely with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
5. Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
Required Qualifications:
6. Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
7. Knowledge of special educational needs practises and strategies
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
9. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education:
Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
Experience:
Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
10. Understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
11. Ability to adapt support strategies to meet the individual needs of students
12. Confidence in managing challenging behaviour
13. Organisational skills and the ability to multitask
Preferred Qualifications:
14. SEN-specific training or qualifications
15. Additional training in behaviour management or related areas
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a classroom environment with students with special educational needs. The ability to provide 1:1 support and adapt to the needs of individual students is essential. Working hours are full-time on a temporary basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
