Job title: Security Analyst Location: Yarls Wood IRC Working Hours / Contract Type : 40 hours per week, permanent Salary: Up to £31,000.00 PA Here at Yarls Wood Immigration Removal Centre we are looking for a Security Analyst to join our team. The role of the Security Analyst is to assess reports and analyse appropriately, ensuring any risks are categorised and actions assigned and assessed appropriately. It’s vital the intelligence is reviewed closely, joining up other reports where appropriate, and ensuring the Security Management are clear on the intelligence assessment. Key Accountabilities: Use information, data and trend analysis to actively ensure all staff in the establishment understand the position of Security issues both within the establishment, and around the IRC estate Produce a monthly Security Intelligence Report and disseminate it as required within the establishment, collating feedback, before presenting the report at the monthly Security Meeting and within security meeting forums. The report will cover all strands of security to include etc to meet establishment priorities. Analyse and evaluate information from a wide range of sources to support and inform decision making in the identification, reduction and prevention of Security issues and the management of related incidents. Regularly update line management regarding local, regional and national security issues and any intelligence received which affects current delivery and centre stability. Make sure that all relevant intelligence and recording systems such as CMS are updated, maintained, used appropriately and that staff involved in recording information are trained in its use as required. Provide advice and guidance of on current trends and issues. Brief & Liaise with all functional departments in relation to understanding and supporting Security objectives. Collate and distribute Daily/monthly objectives from the Security. Responsible for Collating Reports and providing an intelligence assessment on each. Compile and collate PERs daily Review CCTV, recording and provide factual reports on your findings Deliver key training and update the system React daily to any arising issues relating to Security that may require investigation. Complete minute taking of Security Meetings and ensure accurate. Carry out any reasonable tasks as instructed by Management in regards to Security. Provide clear & accurate intelligence assessments. Categorise intelligence appropriately, ensuring its joined up where needed with any previous reports, and an intelligence picture is formed for Management. Liaison with Police, ensuring a decent relationship is maintained. Monitoring open actions, updating CMS and ensuring no actions go overdue. Assist Security Manager in managing Serious Incident Contingencies. Deliver Security training as and when required. Attend the weekly / quarterly Security meetings as and when required. Promote RIPA in the Centre and Champion CHIS awareness Submit Counter Terrorism Referrals as and when required. What you will need: Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 Excellent computer and typing skills inclusive of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Custodial experience preferred however not essential. You will be required to undergo level basic/ 1 & 2 Security Analyst training once in the role.
