In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the Group continues to deliver an efficient and resilient payments service to its saving and lending customers and its third-party service providers. You will be responsible for advancing the levels of both outgoing and incoming payments and will require the need to identify and deliver strategic enhancements in addition to maintaining the existing core services and relationships with key payment service providers. Your responsibilities will include… Contributing to the delivery of a Payment Services strategy that reflects the increasing demands and expectations of the Group\\\'s customers and other third-party stakeholdersActing as the business owner both internally and externally for payments performance, issues, risks, technology and third-party requirements throughout the end-to-end payments activity for manual and automated payment processesDay to day monitoring and engagement with third party suppliers who support the Financial Support FunctionRepresenting Payment Services on the Group\\\'s Simplification and Modernisation programme to ensure that the future payments operation model delivers the efficiencies and controls expectedWorking closely with the Group Head of Operational Insights and Outcomes to ensure that the Group\\\'s future direction in respect to payment services aligns with the current regulatory expectations and monitors industry trendsInteracting with Vendor Management regarding tender and renewal of supplier contractsEstablishing a culture of continuous improvement to streamline payment processes, systems and infrastructure, enhance cost and customer efficiency and maintain the necessary levels of operational resilienceLeading, motivating and developing the payments team, providing required training to drive performance and achieve departmental objectives We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below: 5+ years experience of working at a senior manager level in a payment services function within Financial ServicesExperience managing a large multi-site financial services functionSolid experience of managing 3rd party suppliersExperience on contract monitoring, renewal and tender (in collaboration with Vendor management functions)Demonstrable experience of designing and embedding a payment services strategyHigh levels of experience in identifying Risks and implementing controls We also believe that your career and how you progress is as unique as your individual personality.
