This role will involve working within our Outdoor Facilities team at Studland Bay, to help deliver exemplary site presentation, maintenance, and an all-round excellent visitor experience.
A full driving licence is required to be able to drive estate vehicles.
Salary: £22,425 per annum.
Contract: Permanent.
Hours/working pattern/hours: 37.5 hours per week. The working week for this role will be Tuesday to Saturday. Shift patterns are 8.30am – 4.30pm and may include 10.00am – 6.00pm during the summer months.

What you'll be doing
Working throughout the year in a unique location like Studland Bay requires commitment and an energetic approach to tackling a wide variety of practical tasks and responsibilities. Working with the Outdoors Facilities team, you will assist with day-to-day servicing for the beaches and car parks, maintain adjacent habitats all at a high-volume visitor site.
You will work within the appropriate National Trust procedures and conservation guidelines to support the team to meet its objectives of excellent facility maintenance and compliance.
This will include assisting with practical tasks to help deliver our site management plan, which could vary from maintaining site presentation, to planning and constructing infrastructure, conducting invasive species removal and vegetation clearance, or patrolling the site to ensure visitor safety and enjoyment. The ability to build a good rapport with members of the public is imperative as your will be regularly interacting with visitors, especially on topics of potential conflict such as BBQs, dogs and littering behaviour.
This role will suit someone who has a love of the outdoors and nature, an interest in active pursuits, and ambitions to work in land management within the conservation sector. You’ll be trained in many practical skills on the job, as well as gaining formal certification for the use of all-terrain vehicles and brushcutters, with the potential for more over time.
There may be opportunities to collaborate with colleagues from across the Purbeck portfolio at Studland; including rangers, visitor experience teams and project staff to deliver our engagement and conservation strategies.
