Axcis Education are currently recruiting for a Primary Classroom Assistant to support a mainstream primary school in their KS2 class in the Cullompton area of East Devon. This fantastic school uses a range of innovative teaching methods to help their students make the most of their educational experience. The school is set in beautiful grounds with outside learning facilities and is well resourced with a fantastic atmosphere upon entering the grounds. Situated in the East Devon area with parking on site and with excellent links to public transport, the school is easily accessible.
The position is for a general class TA as well as some additional 1:1 support with SEND pupils. You may also have to support pupils with literacy and numeracy booster sessions and you will need to have previous experience of working with children as a teaching assistant. Ideally, you will have supported pupils with SEMH, ASC, and ADHD. A trusting, nurturing relationship is important to the pupil along with a compassionate approach. As you will be supporting pupils with their education, it is essential that you have GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above or equivalent, and have experience supporting SEND and KS2.
