Financial Reporting Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Group Financial Control team. You will be helping to ensure the quality and timely delivery of financial results within Group Financial Control with a focus on month-end reporting as well as statutory reporting at half-year and year-end.
Based in Derby, this role will report to the Group Reporting Manager - RR Power Systems.

The Group Financial Control team is responsible for issuing the reporting calendar and coordinating/providing instructions for the quarterly Statutory Reporting requirements. Together with the businesses, we ensure all external and internal reporting requirements and deadlines are met to a high standard.
This role will allow you to gain excellent insight into external reporting requirements and an opportunity to gain direct exposure to senior management.

What you will be doing:
* Completion and submission of group consolidation adjustments on a AP’ly basis, monitoring and reviewing business submissions in Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and completing integrity and validation checks.
* Be responsible for completing specific notes to the accounts and supporting the quarterly reporting process. Working with the wider Group Financial Control team and businesses to ensure all external reporting requirements are met. Interacting with PwC during audit periods.
* Be responsible for the forecasting of group consolidation adjustments and providing commentary for any deviations against prior forecasts.
* Support businesses in the development of their reporting and understanding, including sharing best practice across the businesses.

* A professionally qualified accountant with related finance experience.
* Able to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of individuals and teams.
* Committed to service delivery, with a structured approach, able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail is a must.
* Able to distil and simplify complex data and information.
