To strengthen our team in Puratos Fourayes, near Sittingbourne, Kent, we are looking for a:
Your Mission
Reporting to the Night Shift Hygiene Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning industrial food production machinery to meticulous standards.
What you will do
1. Carry out nightly cleaning operations of the plant to ensure factory environment is suitable for production of safe, legal and quality foodstuffs.
2. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
3. Follow all Health and Safety Practices.
4. Carry out all duties as assigned by the Night Shift Hygiene Supervisor, including hygienic cleaning of equipment, fabrication, and communal areas.
5. Ensure safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
6. Strip down machinery and pipework to ensure that all parts of the equipment can be hygienically cleaned inside and out.
7. Work at different heights to fully clean production machinery.
8. Operate hot and cold Jet washers.
9. Operate foaming machine and chemical spray trolleys.
10. Use cleaning chemicals in a safe manner and in line with work instructions.
11. Use and refill dosing stations.
What we expect from you
1. Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
2. Effective communication with other staff members.
3. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions reflected in both written and verbal formats.
4. Flexibility and multi-tasking.
5. Experience in a similar role, preferably in the food industry.
6. Self-motivated and a good work ethic.
7. Ability to work unsupervised.
What you can expect from Puratos
1. £12.95 per hour.
2. Core hours will be 22:00 – 06:00, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
