JobMatcha are looking for a dedicated Design Manager to be involved in the design of a healthcare project based in Cambridge.
Role Background:
Design Manager (Architectural)
Support Lead Design Manager – architectural, internals, FF&E/equipment, fire, acoustics and landscaping.
Design Manager (Support)
CDM, Building Regulations, BIM, sustainability/net zero/BREEAM and Planning.
Role Requirements:
Design Manager (Architectural) –
1. 8 years working in a Design Manager role for a Tier 1 Main Contractor in the UK.
2. Experience in delivering healthcare projects, with a focus on internals/fit-out, HTM and HBN compliance and coordination of furniture and equipment requirements.
3. Experience in delivering projects now considered as 'High-Risk Buildings' under the Building Safety Act (over 18m and habitable).
4. Degree qualified in a technical subject appropriate for the role – required to demonstrate competence to the Building Safety Regulator as part of approvals under the Building Safety Act.
5. Professionally chartered to a body appropriate for the role – required to demonstrate competence to the Building Safety Regulator as part of approvals under the Building Safety Act.
6. Site based 4 days per week, with flexibility for 1 working from home day – ideally someone within 1 hour of traveling distance to Cambridge.
Design Manager (Support) –
1. 8 years working in a Design Manager role for a Tier 1 Main Contractor in the UK.
2. Experience in engaging with Third Parties and robust coordination and recording of information exchanges.
3. Experience in extensive coordination and liaison with teams to provide combined and consolidated project reporting and submissions.
4. Experience in use of BIM modelling software to support design coordination via BIM Coordinator.
5. Experience in delivering projects with a BREEAM Excellent rating.
6. Degree qualified in a technical subject appropriate for the role – required to demonstrate competence to the Building Safety Regulator as part of approvals under the Building Safety Act.
7. Professionally chartered to a body appropriate for the role – required to demonstrate competence to the Building Safety Regulator as part of approvals under the Building Safety Act.
8. Site based 4 days per week, with flexibility for 1 working from home day – ideally someone within 1 hour of traveling distance to Cambridge.
