Reporting into the GSK Ware Manufacturing site’s Digital Lead, you will be responsible for managing the change management, testing, quality and communication activities to support business continuity and delivery of the company’s ‘Digital and Smart Manufacturing’ ambition. This includes working effectively with multiple stakeholders to meet business needs (to obtain and maintain engagement and support throughout the project deliver process).
Key Responsibilities (include):
Change Management
1. Establish and embed a robust change management process for Digital systems and Smart Manufacturing. Take ownership of the development of the overall change management plan (including identifying impacted areas of the business). Execute change impact assessments & develop and execute change management plans accordingly.
2. Maintain engagement and support of workstream teams throughout the project (keeping them focused on the robustness of their change plans). Supporting and enabling managers to support / facilitate change in their respective areas of the business.
3. Ensure readiness of the organization to face the changes and accelerate people engagement (including adoption of digital solutions) in a sustainable manner. Build a change managers network across the sites to support Smart Mfg implementation at site and functions levels.
4. Collaborate on a unified approach with the project manager and eBR (Electronic Batch Release) Implementation Lead. Manage Change governance process (incl. reporting and managing risks, issues and action logs).
5. Enables sponsors coalition and sites/functions change managers and teams to build awareness and create desire for change (provide input to Comms-manager(s) on what/ when communications are needed).
6. Contribute to develop knowledge and create ability of final users by designing and rolling-out a global learning & capability plan and resources in collaboration with Learning teams.
7. Plan and allocated resources to reinforcement and sustainment activities. Measure effectiveness of change initiatives (KPIs) and continuously improve.
Smart Manufacturing MES Testing
1. Provide effective coordination of Test Management for Digital system updates (including Defect management, Testing Strategies, Effective resource management and supporting end to end testing activities).
2. Support MES Specialists (eg; managing business expectations Vs existing workload, and effective prioritizing and planning) in deployment of upgrades to gain new features/ functionality (including sharing new features with business and planning/executing changes to ways of working (to maximise value).
3. Providing clear and effective communication on time frame for requested change and ensuring that the business benefits are understood and communicated.
Quality
1. Managing quality deviations, and building effective relationships with all aspects of the business (including focus on quality processes and how digital system solutions provide robust improvements).
2. Provide support to Smart Manufacturing program through clear communication process which feeds into Site Leadership Team.
3. Building a strong foundation of continuous improvement within the Digital Team.
Communication
1. Ensure effective communication, engagement and involvement across the organisation to support the project goals.
Fixed Term Contract (FTC) – This FTC is currently scheduled for 24-months duration.

As this role is multi-faceted and includes liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders (including on-site production and operations teams), you must be a highly self-motivated person who has strong experience of working in complex manufacturing situations. You will be resilient and calm under pressure, with strong people skills and a proven ability to influence people to achieve. You will have a strong continuous improvement mindset and be hands-on in your approach.
About Ware Manufacturing Site:
Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose form, and the site has circa 1,500 highly-motivated and capable people working at it. The Ware site holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company’s pipeline of new medicines in oral and solid dose forms, as well as operating a high-volume commercial production for respiratory devices.

Basic Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT or Business Digital, Change Management
2. Experience in Pharma Manufacturing environment, Med-tech / Biotech
3. Lean six sigma trained or certified DMAIC
Preferred Experience:
1. Strong Experience of working with digital solutions in a GxP environment
2. Strong stakeholder management and team management skills
3. Experience at working within a cross functional team
4. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice in a Pharmaceutical Environment and EHS standards
5. Good organizational and planning skills
6. Self-motivated and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
7. Experience of working within a team to support significant business change
8. Proven ability to influence, make decisions with direct business impact
9. Business partnering skills in Manufacturing Systems / electronic record systems
10. Rolling out Digital Systems to modernize batch record systems
11. Effective communication skills to partner with Business; managing offshore IT service providers on day-to-day technical changes and articulating complex technical IT issues in simple terms to non-IT stakeholders
12. Experience of managing UATs, acting as a Tester/Test Manager
13. Exposure to change management tools & techniques (for eg. ADKAR, Heatmaps, Change Impact Assessment, etc.)
