Here at Kingston College, we are seeking a Mobile Security Officer to be part of a dedicated shift/rota-based team.
Location is primarily at Kingston but you would need to be available to work at other sites across the Group if required.
As our Security Officer, you will promote and maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors, as well as protect the property. Manning the College’s main entrance, you will be alert to any potential security-related problems, outstanding maintenance items, or hazardous situations that require attention. You will carry out regular security patrols, input and assist with access control, and monitor CCTV, completing investigation assignments as required.
We’re looking for an experienced and SIA registered Door Supervisor who has patience, tact, and honesty in dealing with people from a variety of backgrounds, particularly in confrontational situations. Able to work under pressure, at times without supervision, you will have exceptional communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team. You will be self-motivated, have a strong customer focus, and hold a valid First Aid at Work Certificate.
Hours: Primary shift is 10:00-18:00 Monday to Thursday and 10:00-16:30 Friday working across the two Kingston Sites. In addition, the role will require flexibility to undertake am/pm shifts as part of the rota when required and during holiday periods.
Mornings: Monday – Thursday 07:30-15:30 and Friday 07:30-14:00
Afternoons: Monday – Thursday 13:00-21:00 or 13:45-21:45 and Friday 12:30-19:00
Overtime is also available.
