We have Children's homes across the county, where vulnerable children live and receive support from a multi-disciplinary team of professionals who are responsible for their welfare. We are looking for two Deputy Homes Managers who can champion excellent care for children as well as support our dedicated staff who work in the homes.
The role will support the Registered Homes Manager in the day-to-day running of the residential home and the effective deployment, management, training and supervision of staff within the team; and to deputise for the RHM in their absence.
Key tasks of the role include:
* To contribute to the day-to-day management of the home in line with the requirements of the Ofsted Inspection Framework, the Children's Homes Regulations and the Quality Standards 2015.
* You are responsible, together with the Registered Homes Manager, for initiating and implementing robust individual childcare plans and risk assessments in order to keep young people safe in line with the overall looked after child care plan for the young person.
* To work in partnership with children's social workers, other multi-agency childcare professionals, parents, providers of health and social care services and the community to achieve good outcomes for the young people in your care.
The people we are looking for in this vital position will have:
* A proven track record in relating to children and young people within a residential setting.
* Level 3 Diploma/QCF level 3 or equivalent qualification relevant to working with children and young people.
* Excellent understanding of child development, attachment, trauma and therapeutic parenting.
