Job summary We are looking to appoint an Administrator to work at the purpose designed and built Macmillan Information and Support Centre, The Cove. Candidates must be experienced administrators with excellent communication / people skills and a good understanding of NHS healthcare systems and processes, ideally relating to cancer. The candidates must be able to work with the Centre Volunteers, have excellent administration skills, compile rotas, stock control and data management, as well as be able to deal sensitively with any concerns or requests for information and support raised by visitors to the Centre. Candidates will also have significant experience of working with clinical staff at all levels, diary management, excellent communication skills and be prepared to oversee (and occasionally cover) Reception and Caf duties. We require an enthusiastic and experienced administrator to work with the multi-disciplinary team, based in The Cove Macmillan Support Centre, Treliske, Truro. You will hold a minimum of RSA III (or equivalent) in typing/word processing and must have a high level of computer literacy. This is a part time position for 15 hours (2 days) per week. Main duties of the job To provide efficient and effective office administration for the Centre, predominantly supporting the Macmillan Support Officers and Centre Manager.
