An excellent opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our excellent production team in Bradford in the position of Mechanical/Technical Operator. Reporting to the Production Director, the Technical Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining F&K and Gerber cutting machines and any other duties associated with the manufacturing of Company product. The Technical Operator will assist production in backfilling on either machine during increase in production or cover of absence, and this will include working an afternoon shift pattern when required. The Technical Operator is expected to contribute to keeping all areas of production hazard free, tidy, and adhering to health a safety always. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of all machinery and equipment on site; including routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all machines operate efficiently and safely. This will include basic repairs. Key tasks and accountabilities associated with the role are as follows: Work with the wider team to support continued quality of product, cost efficiencies and achieving KPIs. Contribute to and improve the consistent delivery of high standards and process development within production and manufacturing operations. Uphold strict confidentiality with regards to Company operations, policies, and future plans. Deliver works in accordance with ISO procedures. Applicants will possess experience with Material Cutting CNC machines Gerber or Assyst Bullmer will be advantageous as will experience with Foam Conversion Equipment F&K and Band knife. A background in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering and possession of an associated qualification will be advantageous; a background in the production of medical devices is desirable. Our production team is a happy team therefore it is important the successful applicant has good verbal communication skills, be flexible, adaptable, and energetic with regards to approach to work and possess experience of working in a busy team, collaborating with colleagues. Good timekeeping and attendance are essential as is attention to detail.
