Contract: Full time/Perm

We are seeking a dedicated Engineer - Mech/Steam/HTHW to join our team at HMP The Mount, a category C & adult/male prison. Join a team that is more than just a group of colleagues - we work MONDAY-FRIDAY as a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment.
As an Engineer - Mech/Steam/HTHW, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.
We are looking for an Engineer - Mech/Steam/HTHW with any combination of:
1. Two years' experience working in a role as a steam boiler operator or equivalent
2. Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
3. Familiarity with and ability to work to BG01 - safe operation of boilers
4. Experience working on commercial or industrial steam, heating, and water systems
5. Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
6. BOAS accredited boiler operator course or equivalent
7. Good Health & Safety knowledge
8. Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
