We have an opportunity for a Senior CAD Technician to join our team - specialising in major projects within the water sector. This role can be based from our offices across the North of England or Scotland with hybrid working allowing for a mix of in-office and home-working (usual pattern for full time employees is 3 days in office / 2 days from home).
As a Senior CAD Technician you will work as part of our well respected Digital Design team - working alongside highly skilled Technicians and Engineers to deliver some of the most technically complex and exciting major projects across the Water sector. You will be working with a variety of 3D and 2D software – including Civil 3D and Revit – and will offer mentoring and training to more junior colleagues on how to most effectively use CAD software.

Duties will include:
* Preparing project drawings and BIM models, understanding, interpreting, and implementing local client CAD standards and BIM data requirements.
* Collaborating with engineers, consultants and technicians from multiple disciplines.
* Responsible for managing regional workload plans; establishing and maintaining delivery deadlines.
* Developing and mentoring local Digital Design teams.
* Working within Common Data Environments.
About you
You will have prior experience working as a CAD Technician, Senior CAD Technician, or similar digital delivery role - ideally with experience of working within the water sectors. In addition you will be able to demonstrate that you have:
* Experience of working to develop design deliverables in collaboration with multi-discipline design team members.
* Worked in a Common Data Environment using Data Management Systems such as BIM360 and ProjectWise.
* Used 3D CAD software such as Civil 3D or Revit.
* The ability to organise your workload across multiple projects.
* A willingness to mentor less experienced colleagues.
