Job Purpose
The role of Purchasing Co-Ordinator is vital to the success of our worldwide development activities. The Purchasing Co-Ordinator is responsible for ensuring all aspects of purchasing, stock control, and shipping are effectively executed and financially controlled according to project budgets and timescales.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain positive supplier relationships.
* Raise purchase orders in sufficient detail to ensure that costs are coded to the correct project/accounts.
* Monitor and forecast inventory levels, raising supplier orders for stock replenishment and complete projects.
* Monitor pricing to maintain revenue and profit margins.
* Ensure all import/export requirements are met and documentation is accurate.
* Maintain supplier records, reviews, and CRM data.
* Prioritise workload across long-lead and real-time demands.
* Assist in the implementation of stocktakes and other business processes to optimise stock control.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure that procurement requirements are met.
* Attend project handover and kick-off meetings to provide detailed information on costs, delivery schedules, and shipping options.
* Ensure that all deliveries are checked off and claims submitted for short delivery/damaged stock.

Experience And Skills Required For Post
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
* Good understanding of pricing and margins.
* Must have a positive, encouraging personality with the ability to work as part of a team.
* Must be able to prioritise workload across long-lead and real-time demands.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Independent, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
* Keen attention to detail and aptitude for problem solving.
* Highly motivated, reliable, trustworthy individual with a strong work ethic.
