Our client is a forward thinking, growing law firm and on their behalf we are looking to recruit a HR Assistant to join them on a permanent basis.
Duties & responsibilities will include:
1. Ensuring all personnel comply with company policies and assisting the Compliance Manager in maintaining the policies and procedures in the Office Manual specific to Human Resources.
2. HR admin: Ensuring contracts, new starter details and right to works are completed, updated and filed correctly complying with GDPR.
3. Updating policies and procedures when necessary.
4. Managing the diversity and equality values within the company.
5. Developing and maintaining effective relationships to encourage retention.
6. Maternity and Paternity management, including Risk Assessments.
7. Assessing the need for training, implementing training programs, and supporting employee development.
8. Managing the company’s appraisal system and conducting appraisal meetings.
9. Monitoring employee performance, such as attendance, probations, sickness, and holidays.
10. Handling any disciplinary and formal grievances.
11. Working with the IT Manager regarding new starters, DSE, new platforms, etc.
12. Overseeing recruitment, selection, marketing, the onboarding process, probation, and retention.
13. Using a variety of software including the case management system and the Office 365 suite to produce correspondence, documents, presentations, records, and accounts.
14. Providing advice and direction to all employees when needed.
