Job Title: Social Worker
Location: Hull City Council
Rate: £35 per hour
An exciting role has become available at the Hull City Council. They are looking for a Social Worker to join their Integrated Multi-disciplinary team, offering a pay rate of £35 per hour.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality social work practice. You will provide expert and effective social work in complex situations, ensuring that your work is planned, progressed, and reviewed in accordance with legislative and departmental requirements. You will support the development of your staff and team, promoting an approach based on the principles of co-production. You will promote and develop integrated and collaborative ways of working to achieve the best possible outcomes, including using Connect to Support to help people access information, advice, and local voluntary and community sector organizations.
You will manage high levels of risk, providing expert opinions on decisions surrounding complex cases, and support staff with supervision and performance monitoring. You will provide expert leadership in strengths-based approaches to social care, solution-focused conversations, active listening, and techniques to agree on goals, while maintaining high standards of professional practice to ensure the local authorities’ legislative responsibilities and duties are fulfilled.
You will be able to explain good practice in response to primary legislation and personally demonstrate it. This includes legislation such as the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Human Rights Act 1998, Care Act 2014, and Mental Health Act 1983. You will be confident in writing reports and contributing to court reports, such as those for the Court of Protection.
Qualifications and Experiences:
* Social Work England registration
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Hold a full UK licence
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
