Your Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a background in fast-paced, high-risk chilled food production and a thorough understanding of the transformation of raw materials into finished products. Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, and Kanban is highly desirable. The role demands a driven individual with a proven track record in man management, continuous process improvement, and excellent decision-making abilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with personnel at all levels are essential.
The Role:
As a Shift Production Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the production team and equipment, reporting directly to the Site Manager. You will manage four direct reports and indirectly oversee a team of 60-100 individuals. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Man management and team building
2. Driving the production team and monitoring production KPIs
3. Handling management issues, including disciplinary procedures
4. Structuring the site for optimal performance
5. Implementing continuous improvement and reliability measures
6. Budget and cost control
7. Ensuring the delivery of the company’s vision and standards to all team members
