Job summary INTERNAL ONLY TO NORTH CUMBRIA INTEGRATED CARE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST (NCIC) TRUST EMPLOYEES ONLY This post is an exciting opportunity created to build on the success of a pilot clinical educator role within Medicine and the trusts Emergency Department. These posts will extend this role into other departments within NCIC. The roles will be offered as a 1 year secondment opportunity of 2 posts 4hrs or 1 post of 8 hrs. The post will involve 4 X 4 hours per week as ACP Clinical Educator on the shop floor providing education support in the real time with patient experience and the remaining hours per week within your current clinical specialty. The post holder will promote a proactive approach to clinical education and professional development of trainee Advanced Practitioners (ACP); provide professional leadership for the continued development of ACP's and support the delivery of 1:1 clinical education. Main duties of the job The clinical educators will contribute to the delivery of high quality patient care via education and training, acting as a positive role model across the organisation. To create tailored education, the clinical educators will liaise with clinical leaders and HEI's to support TACP's to develop the required competences and skills to deliver safe and effective care to patients, and conform to relevant regulatory governance and organisational requirements.
