You will join our client project as an experienced Health & Safety Manager and will lead and maintain high standards of safety, health, and well-being within the construction, civil engineering, marine, and defence sectors.
The Health and Safety Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a robust safety culture across all aspects of our clients' projects. A primary responsibility is to ensure that the company operates in full compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, including the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Champion best practice and continuous improvement in health and safety management.
* Review Designer and Contractor generated H&S documentation, including task specific risk assessments and method statements relating to high-risk activities, throughout pre-construction, construction, and operational handover phases. Close liaison with the Facility Operator and other stakeholders is vital to ensuring local arrangements are adhered to.
* Support the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor to identify potential hazards and implement effective risk control measures.
* Develop and deliver training programs to staff and subcontractors to promote safety awareness and compliance. Foster a culture of positive safety through regular communications, workshops, and meetings.

* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance with health and safety standards. Collaborate with project teams to address non-conformities and ensure timely resolution of issues.
What you will bring:
* Demonstrable experience within a construction/engineering H&S role, with proven experience in H&S management.
* Experience within construction, civil engineering, marine, or defence sector is essential.
* NEBOSH, HNC/HND, or bachelor's degree in a relevant subject.
* Membership with a recognised professional body, such as IOSH or IIRSM, is desirable, reflecting a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professional competency.
