We are excited to be advertising for a 0.8 WTE Band 6 senior Speech and Language Therapist with an interest in dysfluency and looking for opportunities to develop their leadership skills. The main duties will be to manage a fluency caseload and undertake team lead responsibilities.
1. To manage a caseload of children and young people with complex Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), which may include speech, language, communication and/or eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties, using evidenced based practice to assess, plan, formulate, implement and evaluate interventions in a variety of settings (individually and/or in groups and as part of a multidisciplinary team).
2. Working within a CFHD pathway of care, provide clinical support and supervision to the less experienced SLTs in the team and across the designated pathways of care (these can include but are not limited to: Speech, Language and Communication Pathway, Managing Neurodiversity Pathway, Community Children's Nursing, Physical and Sensory Pathway, and Vulnerable Children's Pathway).
3. To work with the Clinical Team Manager to co-ordinate the clinic and oversee the day-to-day caseload management.
4. Participate in the provision of student placements.
5. To co-ordinate the team audit and monitoring of outcomes for interventions and report to locality lead.
