The role
The Executive Assistant will provide an effective service to a Chief Officer while also supporting the executive team, boards and the directorate leadership team.
This role will provide essential support to the directorate leadership team where you'll help us to lead the way in keeping our promise to more than 100,000 customers.
What you'll achieve
The Executive Assistant provides administrative and secretarial support across the leadership team to assist business leaders in achieving the objectives of the directorate.
Provide effective liaison/communication with the Chief Officer, wider executive team and leadership team.
Provide administrative and secretarial support to the directorate, executive team and boards, including but not limited to agenda preparation, minute taking, room bookings, purchase order management, sourcing events, diary management, travel arrangements etc.
Regularly review budget reports in partnership with the finance department and produce summary reports for review.
Manage and monitor expenditure and expenses for the directorate.
Work with the leadership team and heads of service to implement the results of audit recommendations.
Produce reports for the executive team/boards, compiling content from leadership team meetings and provide supporting narratives.
Support the Chief Officer with the preparation of documentation for major project reviews, highlighting any key issues or concerns.
Liaise with the people directorate regarding any recruitment activity.What you'll bring
Essential skills
Experience of supporting board meetings or similar with production of agenda’s, minutes and meeting arrangements.
Relevant qualification or qualified by experience.
Experience of contact and liaison with executives, directors, board members and committees.
Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Budgetary management experience.
Willingness to travel on occasional basis.Desirable skills
