We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Distribution Overhead Line Worker to join our team in Walkden, Manchester.
Our Role
The team are responsible for carrying out the maintenance, repair and refurbishment activities on our overhead lines so that our customers can enjoy a reliable and efficient electricity supply.
This is a diverse role that will see you working in all kinds of terrain and weather.
What we’re looking for
* NVQ or City & Guilds level 2 or equivalent (in a relevant subject)
* Proficiency in the use of overhead line equipment, winches, MEWPs, tracked excavators etc.;
* Familiarity with working in accordance with Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, processes and procedures; (essential)
* A full, valid UK driving licence (essential) with a HGV licence (desirable);
* The ability to communicate with both internal and external customers (essential);
* The ability to complete paperwork relating to work-based activities (essential);
