Health and Social Care Teacher – Outstanding School – Surrey
An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Surrey seeks a dedicated and experienced Health and Social Care Teacher to join their vocational department. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering the chance to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed for careers in the caring professions, primarily at Key Stages 4 and 5.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging and practical lessons, preparing students for BTEC and/or other relevant vocational qualifications.
2. Cover topics such as health and well-being, human lifespan development, and communication skills, fostering empathy and understanding of the sector.
3. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the Health and Social Care curriculum.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Health and Social Care Teacher (QTS) with a relevant degree (e.g., Health and Social Care, Nursing, Social Work).
2. Proven experience teaching Health and Social Care at the secondary level, particularly BTEC qualifications.
3. Practical experience in a health or social care setting is desirable.
4. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
5. A passionate Health and Social Care Teacher.
