We are currently seeking to recruit a caring, committed, and reliable care assistant to join our friendly team at Pen Inney House for 1 night & 1 evening or afternoon shift.
Westheath Care Homes (Staffing) Ltd provides care staff to five care homes located in Bodmin, Lanivet, Lewannick (Nr Launceston), and Bude area, all of which have obtained and maintained a ‘Good’ CQC rating.
We provide high standards of person-centred care to a wide range of elderly and disabled people with a dedicated team of Care assistants and experienced managers.

After an interview, references and an Enhanced DBS check will be conducted prior to final job offer confirmation (the cost will be covered by the company, but may be repaid if you leave within 3 months). You will be enrolled in our induction programme followed by shadow shifts to help you become confident in your new role.
Previous experience is desired; however, if you are new to care, we provide comprehensive training within our induction programme.
Duties will consist of providing person-centred care for our residents through a range of care and support services, encouraging independence in a dignified and compassionate manner.

* Provide cover when other team members take annual leave or are absent for other reasons

* Experience in health and social care is preferable but not essential
* Care Certificate or NVQ level 2 or above in Health and Social Care - or willingness to achieve
In return, you can expect competitive rates of pay, a minimum number of contracted hours per week, and an equivalent to 6 weeks of annual leave per employment year (this will be your weekly contracted hours x 6).
