Water Compliance Engineer - FM Service Provider - Commercial Buildings – Up to £50,000
CBW is currently recruiting for a Water Compliance Engineer to be based in three commercial buildings in London: Stratford, White City, and Croydon. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in water treatment, ideally with some plumbing experience. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £50,000, overtime, and further training.

Key Responsibilities
* Daily, weekly and monthly analytical testing of cooling towers and closed systems.
* Log Book Ownership
* Provide detailed reports of all and any tasks undertaken.
* Quality checking of any Risk Assessment document submitted by the Water Compliance Risk Assessor including review of schematic drawings.
* Reviewing water sample results and issuing advice or remediation where qualified and confident to do so.
* Link in with the Principal Engineer for guidance with Microbiological and Public Health risks or advice.
* Assist internal clients with failures in their primary control scheme by offering guidance.
* Complete site visits to review systems where primary control scheme has failed, at the request of the PE water or when water sampling warrants further investigation.
* Assist the PE water during any investigation where applicable.
* Water flushing and disinfecting mains water pipes and hot & cold water systems when the need arises.
* Working with chemicals such as chemical dosing.
* Conduct surveys on hot and cold water systems.
* Basic plumbing tasks including repairing pipework and leaks, and small plumbing jobs such as dead leg removal.
* Carry out general building maintenance.
* Knowledge of the following: Calorifiers, Cooling Towers - Disinfection, Circulation pumps, Temp tests, Tank Cleans, Chlorination's, Water softeners, Cold water storage tanks, Dip Slides.
Requirements
* City and Guilds in Plumbing.
* City and Guilds in Water Treatment.
* City and Guilds in Legionella control within hot and cold water systems.
* Experience with microbiological interpretation of water samples.
* Understanding of dosing within closed systems.
* Previous experience of Deep Clean of tanks and showers and taking test results.
* Demonstrated experience in water system remediation/maintenance works.
* Working knowledge of the respective legislation and guidance material.
