Tender Writer / Bid Co-ordinator (including apprenticeship) Location Remote, Home, Greater Manchester, North West Region, Oldham Salary £25000.00 raising to £30000.00 Driver with own transport essential About the Role We are delighted to advertise an opening for Tender Writer / Bid Co-ordinator, the right person will support the Bid and Tender Team to win new work and retain existing local authority and NHS adult social care contracts in line with the needs and aspirations of various internal operational teams. This includes inpatient and rehabilitation services, care homes (with and without nursing), supported living and day services, as well as occasional support to other subsidiary areas of the business. The ideal individual will be able to clearly communicate a vision and work collaboratively with all departments across the CareTech Group to ensure tenders are completed to a high standard within a project managed way. The role is home-based but requires that you must be able to and willing to travel / commute on occasion to: • Our head office base in Potters Bar • Across all our office/service locations, as and when required for further information about our services companies and locations. • Attend council and CCG/ICB market engagement events Main Responsibilities: This role will sit within the Business Development Team. The Business Development function is to provide opportunities for sustainable and achievable growth across the group through localised and group business plans considering the Social, Economic and Environmental landscape. Driving innovative, person led care and support from the outset. In conjunction with the Operational Leads and Performance Director for each region, the Bid Manager and Tender Manager, the Coordinator/Writer will contribute to the continued development of the Tender and Bid Strategy as a key work stream to the overall Business Development Plan. Duties: Develop understanding of local operational models across the company and national strategy, regulation, e.g. CQC. Deliver the companies Vision and Values by providing useful written information for written tenders gathered internally from our library and business experts and externally through sound research. To coordinate the written response to Tender opportunities identified by the Bid Manager focussing mainly on Method Statement responses Managing the completion of individual tender applications, including: Maintaining an awareness of other contracts due for tender coordinated by the Bid Manager Support the sourcing and triage of opportunities – supporting the review all new tender documentation and preparation for triage calls to discuss opportunities with Business teams, in conjunction with the Bid/Tender Manager Collating and re-writing any internal contributions to create a coherent and structured final tender Proof reading and editing method statements on all aspects of service delivery Administrative Support maintaining the existing Library Portal Management - Ensuring all relevant external portals for Adult Services are updated and maintained, ensuring access is granted to appropriate Business Development Managers/operational staff and any portal messages and requests are actioned promptly. Support to the Bid Manager in tasks necessary to ensure the timely delivery of tender submissions. Experience, Skills and Personal Attributes: 5 GCSEs grade 5 (C) and above and at least grade 6 (B) English. A Levels or equivalent relevant occupational experience Networking skills, working successfully both internally and externally at all levels. Experience of writing and delivering successful written content or evidence of strong written communication skills - ability to express a response in a concise manner, within the scope of the questions and word count whilst highlighting Unique Selling Points and fully addressing questions criteria Ability to communicate our vision and service delivery in writing, in an accessible, engaging and locally relevant manner. Must also be comfortable with others reviewing/editing your work Attention to detail and ability to seek out information proactively from a variety of sources, including written/online materials and knowledge held by business experts Ability to organise your own time effectively, meeting deadlines while showing good attention to detail and maintaining quality with minimal supervision, while working remotely/maintaining office hours with remote support/virtual colleagues for the majority of their time. Flexible and committed approach to working hours and annual leave, working closely with the Bid Manager to ensuring multiple deadlines are met Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Experience of using online portals/applications (Desirable) Working or personal knowledge of residential/supported living and CQC regulations.
