Payroll Manager

The role:
* Be responsible for the management and support of the Payroll Team and its performance.
* Manage a portfolio of medium to large sized multiple client payrolls and the day-to-day administration; including RTI submissions, processing end of year forms and auto-enrolment.
* Prepare both weekly and monthly client payrolls, including data input, reconciliation, payslip generation and client reporting.
* Provide technical client support on payroll, PAYE and some basic employment matters.
The candidate:
* Have proven experience of leading and managing a payroll team, ideally from a bureau background or within an accountancy practice.
* Highly experienced in running payrolls from start to finish, including all statutory calculations, RTI, year end and complex payrolls.
* Have first-class, up to date payroll knowledge.
* Be a great communicator, building great relationships with clients and liaising with HMRC to resolve any queries.
