Mountjoy School is seeking to appoint a caring and reliable Childcare Assistant supervisor to join our experienced and friendly team, to support our pupils with their time in school. This role will involve supporting pupils with their physical needs, including personal care, toileting and feeding. Some previous experience of care work would be advantageous. Working hours will be as follows: 8.55am to 4.45pm, Monday 8.55am to 3.45pm Tuesday to Thursday 8.55am to 3.35pm Friday Term-time only plus IINSET days. We would consider applicants who would prefer to work fewer than 5 days per week; however in order to meet the needs of our pupils, the working hours are fixed, and a minimum to 3 working days per would would be prefered. Please note, the salary quoted is for 31 hours per week, term time only plus INSET days. Salary will vary if appointed on differing hours. Keeping Children Safe in Education Mountjoy School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
