Position Overview:
The Field based Installation and Calibration Engineer will report directly to the Installations Team Leader (Regional) and will be responsible for providing customer support through the performance of on-site Machine Control installations, measure, diagnosis, troubleshooting, service, and repair of machine control systems on mobile plant equipment – across all machine types, brands, and technology models on a National scale.

Job Description:
SITECH UK is an exclusive dealer of Trimble Machine Control Systems. The Installation Engineer will be responsible for the installation of Trimble hardware, including accurately measuring the machine control systems on OEM dealer machines and customers' construction equipment.
The role requires remote working and may include National coverage with occasional stays away from home. A background in Plant, mechanical, and electrical engineering is required but not essential. On-the-job training will be provided for a successful candidate.
Job Functions:
* Installation: Primary resource for on-machine installation on SITECH / Trimble equipment across all OEMs, OEM Dealers, and Customers.
* Service: Provide maintenance, support call-out, troubleshooting, and support on SITECH / Trimble equipment.
* Measure & Calibration: Resource in calibration/re-calibration of SITECH / Trimble machine control equipment.
* Operations: Support the Machine Control Installation, Calibration, and Support Team Leader.
* Training & Development: Provide operator training to end-users where necessary.
* Self-Management: Ensure all activities are completed fully and documented to high standards.
* Results: Understand the importance of customer service and performance.
Specific Skills:
* College or vocational qualification in Mechanical, Hydraulics, or Electronic engineering.
* Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical issues on heavy equipment machines.
* Familiarity with construction site operations using heavy equipment machine control systems is desired.
* IOSH, RAMS, Health & Safety awareness with an up-to-date CSCS card.
* Basic understanding of using a PC, including Microsoft Office applications.
Education & Experience:
* Experience in working in an engineering/operations role.
* Experience as a field engineer.
* Experience in a service environment or workshop.
* Champions Safety through all customer and operations activity.
* Effective customer service skills.
