Affinity Water is offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role will play a key part in the development of Investment Opportunity tenders and the maintenance of Estimating and Cost Engineering software and data reporting.
You will be managing large volumes of data (ie stock control, invoicing, and data management) and given the tools to achieve this and more. Key responsibilities:
* Collecting and organising project requirements from multiple stakeholders.
* Attending meetings and workshops, taking minutes, and distributing them to relevant stakeholders.
* Reviewing scope documents for inconsistencies and seeking clarifications.
* Assisting in the development of cost estimates from contractors.
* Tracking target cost vs final account accuracy.
* Maintaining detailed project records for reference and audit purposes.
* Identifying opportunities to improve end-to-end processes.
Skills Required:
* Excellent organisational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
* Self-sufficient, proactive, and results-oriented.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
