Location: Birmingham Business Park, Solihull
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off
Salary: £45,000 per annum

BCA Logistics, headquartered in Birmingham, is a leader in vehicle inspection, collection, and delivery services within the automotive supply chain. Operating at the end of vehicle contracts, BCA Logistics inspects and collects over 600,000 vehicles annually, making us the largest provider in the sector with plans for further growth.
Purpose of the Role: To manage logistics operations, focusing on single move activities. This includes cost management, recruitment, resource utilisation, and the day-to-day management of operations that support BCA Logistics' service performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Coaching: Drive performance management, foster a positive culture, plan for succession, ensure safe working practices, and optimise resource utilisation.
Resource Management: Maximise resource availability through effective monitoring and communication using the Driver Management system to maintain and manage BCA Logistics driver standards.
Team Management: Lead and motivate operations staff and drivers, ensuring all receive relevant training and development.
Issue Resolution: Work with appropriate departments to resolve driver issues, manage equipment issuance and collection.
Performance Delivery: Achieve performance in line with KPIs and budget, analyse costs, and develop initiatives to minimise costs while maximising service performance.
Communication: Develop and implement mechanisms for team meetings and manage driver communication to keep field-based resources updated.
Reporting: Communicate and report on vital performance KPIs.
Customer Relations: Hold regular meetings with customers to review performance and future development needs.
Forecasting: Conduct weekly and monthly forecasting related to customer volume, resource mix, cost control, and financial performance.
Planning: Review and plan for all current and future customer requirements.
Recruitment: Monitor driver resource mix and create recruitment plans aligned with financial and service requirements.
Budget Accountability: Ensure operational budget achievement.
Additional Duties: Perform any other duties within your skill capability as needed.
