Leonard Brothers Vets have an exciting new opportunity for a Clinical Director to join our Nantwich team! This is a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a supportive practice in a leadership role.
As Clinical Director, you will manage, lead, support and inspire our team, while also maintaining your own clinical caseload. This is a unique leadership role that provides the opportunity to combine excellent veterinary care with efficient practice management, geared towards the continued improvement of our team and clinic.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, support, guidance, and development opportunities for our team, while working closely alongside the Practice Manager. You will conduct staff appraisals, resolve queries, and support the growth and progression of the team. You will have knowledge of company policies and financial protocols. Together with the Practice Manager and Leadership team, you will aim to enhance practice performance, achieve financial targets, and communicate changes and updates effectively to the team. Creating a positive and supportive culture and work environment is essential to this role. You will be expected to collaborate with the other Clinical Director in our Practice Group to ensure that our 3 clinics work closely and cohesively together.

We are looking for a Clinical Director to join our team on a full-time basis but we are happy to consider flexible working options. Out-of-hours shifts are available in the evenings between 6:30pm – 9pm and at weekends 8:30am – 5pm. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours truly tips the scale on your work-life balance. We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance.
Our practice and culture
Our modern practice is equipped with fantastic facilities, and we have a brilliant team. We are a training practice providing our staff with ample support to ease into the team and gain experience. We have 14 vets, mostly working part-time making use of the flexible rota pattern we offer, and an experienced nursing and support team. We have certificate holders in Cardiology, Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, and diploma holders in general anaesthesia to successfully support and develop our teams’ skills.

Nantwich is a lovely Market Town with good connections to M6 and Crewe railway station and only 1.5 hours from the Peak District, Lake District, North Wales, or London by train! Nantwich also boasts a lovely high street, beautiful parks as well as a selection of excellent schools!
