About BEAR Scotland

The Opportunity
We are seeking talented and aspiring graduate bridge engineers. As a Graduate Bridge Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the design, analysis, and delivery of innovative bridge solutions that connect communities and transform landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Delivery: Execute allocated projects, ensuring they meet technical standards, budgets, and deadlines.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to our integrated Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures.
* Cost Monitoring: Assist with the effective monitoring and control of project costs.
* Client Relations: Help build and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, and stakeholders.
* Planning & Correspondence: Contribute to workload planning and address project-related correspondence.
* Risk Assessment: Support the Designer’s role under CDM regulations and draft appropriate risk assessments.
* Team Collaboration: Work across different teams as training and workload demands, gaining diverse experience.
* Training Program: Follow the structured Graduate Training Programme to fast-track your development.
* Winter Maintenance: Play a role in delivering winter maintenance as required.
What We’re Looking For:
* A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Working knowledge of key engineering principles and software.
* A proactive mindset with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
* Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
* A valid UK driving licence.
* A desire to work toward further qualifications or chartered status.
