Step Teachers has partnered with a secondary school in the Hackney area to recruit a Media Studies Teacher. This school is dedicated to achieving excellence, built on the idea of challenging and supporting all pupils, regardless of their ability or background. This is a supply role, starting ASAP.
Responsibilities:
* Strong knowledge of the Media Studies curriculum.
* Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and associated resources.
* Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school.
* Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
* Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.
* Compliance with the school's policies and reliable implementation of these.
* Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.
* Recent mainstream school-based experience as a Media Studies teacher in a secondary school setting.
* Good level of classroom and behaviour management.
* A relevant Media Studies-related degree is desirable.
* Enhanced up-to-date DBS.
