Completely Care is seeking a compassionate and motivated Housing Support Worker to join our client's team on a full-time temporary basis.
As a Housing Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity find and maintain safe and stable housing. Your main tasks will include:
1. Assessing individual needs and identifying barriers to housing stability.
2. Developing personalised housing progression plans with clients.
3. Assisting clients in accessing suitable housing options.
4. Providing practical support with applications, budgeting, and tenancy agreements.
5. Collaborating with external agencies, landlords, and housing providers.
6. Offering ongoing emotional support and advocacy.
7. Organizing workshops and group sessions on housing-related topics.
8. Keeping accurate records of client interactions and progress.
9. Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and training opportunities.
Requirements:
1. Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity is a plus.
2. Knowledge of housing legislation and local housing options.
3. Great communication skills and ability to connect with diverse individuals.
4. Empathy and a non-judgmental approach.
5. Strong organisational skills to manage a caseload effectively.
6. Basic computer skills.
7. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
8. Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (preferred).
