Senior Quantity Surveyor Opportunity in Liverpool
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Liverpool, responsible for managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and adhering to quality and compliance standards.
About the Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising project costs from inception to completion, ensuring value for money while adhering to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead cost planning and commercial management throughout the entire life cycle of projects.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
* Oversee and manage procurement processes, including tender preparation and evaluation.
* Conduct comprehensive risk, value management, and cost control exercises.
* Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Monitor project finances, manage variations, and prepare detailed financial reports.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
* Mentor and provide guidance to junior quantity surveyors and other team members.
* Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
Requirements:
* Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Extensive experience as a quantity surveyor, ideally within a main contracting environment.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract law, and industry regulations.
* Proven track record in cost planning, budget management, and financial reporting.
* Proficient in using industry-specific software and tools.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Leadership experience and ability to mentor junior team members.
