Since 2011, Rhubarb have provided all food and drink at the iconic Royal Albert Hall. With over 350 diverse and exciting events taking place each year, guests to the Royal Albert Hall can complement their visit with exceptional hospitality experiences.
We manage 147 hospitality boxes, private and semi-private dining rooms, a roof terrace and for a handful of spectacular gala dinners, the arena itself. In addition to the busy box hospitality, our events span meetings, dinners, corporate launches, drinks parties and awards shows from BAFTA's to the BFA's.
Role Purpose:
We are looking for an exceptional Head of Event and Sales to join our team.
As Head of Events and Sales you will be responsible for pro-actively driving a 5 million events business at one of the UK's most iconic venues. Working closely with the General Manager and Senior team, responsible for a team of 4, the Head of Events and Sales will have responsibility for each event from quotation through to completion, followed by handing over to the Operations Team on the day to deliver the event.
The Head of Events and Sales will be accountable for winning new business, converting leads and revising quotations; turning quotes around in 48 hours and a maximum of 5 days; attendance of weekly operations meetings to brief kitchen, stores, staffing and front of house, on each event.
Attending spectacular events on the day to introduce manager (if they have not met before) and post event de-brief meeting when and where necessary.
It is essential that the Head of Events and Sales is a pro-active individual with strong sales acumen, dedicated to building relationships; a confident, charismatic networker that seizes opportunities.
They will need to have a proven track record within a similar role, ideally within a luxury events company, hotel or contract caterer; concrete knowledge of the food and drink market, current trends and be one step ahead of the game.
