About the position In recent years Enova has acquired its first customers in the UK. They have been serviced from The Netherlands so far. In view of expected further expansion Enova is looking to set up a local subsidiary in the UK. You as the Business Development Manager would become part of the local team that initially will consist of a UK Head of Business and a Energy Manager. In years to come this team should further expand given the expected opportunity in the UK. Key Responsibilities: Drive Growth : Lead the development and execution of a business strategy focused on client acquisition and expanding relationships within the power generation and energy optimisation sectors. Consultative Selling : Engage clients using a consultative sales approach, understanding their unique challenges, and offering tailored solutions to meet their needs. You should be comfortable discussing both technical and business-related aspects of the solutions. Client Relationships : Establish and nurture strong relationships with prospective clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and satisfaction. Sales Leadership : Lead negotiations, prepare tailored proposals, and close deals to meet or exceed revenue targets. Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams and the wider group to align product offerings with client needs and market demands. About you You have experience in a business development or sales role, ideally within the energy software area. A degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is desirable, but not essential. The ideal candidate is curious, results-oriented, committed and loves to make a business grow. Required Qualities: Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships, particularly in the energy, power generation, or software solutions sectors. Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to understand client needs and propose relevant, value-adding solutions. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment, with the support and resources within the company and from other companies in the group. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Comfortable with travel around the UK and being away from home when required. In-depth on the job training will be made available to help you to develop your knowledge of the market and the benefits of our software.
