Accounts Assistant, Banbury-based, £30,000 - £35,000 with study support (Progression available)

A growing family-owned manufacturer, based in Banbury, is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their close-knit and dynamic finance team.
In this role you will take full ownership of the accounts receivable and payable functions, ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial records, as well as provide assistance to the Finance Manager. This exciting opportunity offers a supportive working environment and the potential for further progression, with the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities for the right candidate.
Your new role
1. Collaborating with external and internal stakeholders to resolve payment queries
2. Producing payment runs
3. Handling unallocated cash
4. Processing Supplier Invoices
5. Reconciliation of Supplier Statements
6. Managing the aged receivables report and tracking overdue accounts
7. Chasing customer payments, ensuring timely collections
8. Plus other ad hoc duties
What you'll need to succeed
1. Previous experience in an account payable or accounts receivable role
2. Knowledge of manufacturing is desirable
3. Experience of SAGE 200 would be beneficial
4. Strong Microsoft Office skills
5. Great attention to detail
6. A high level of drive and determination
7. Comfortable around dogs as a number are within the workplace
